This month the eccentric local San Diego artist turns curator as he takes over the very handsome gallery space in Escondido know as Gallery 262-B. His first show, Impending Anarchy, opened Saturday with a very successful turn out.
Impending Anarchy features artists: Brenda Salamone, Petey Deitz, Brittany Heskett, Anna Zappoli, Chris Vannoy, Bettina Heinz, Wendy Wilson- Gibson, Guy Lombardo, Dan Adams, Philip Petrie, David Beck- Brown, Jon Loren Bazan, Marsha Boston, Renetta Happe’, Francesca Lombardo, Ellen Deiter.
There's a new show in the works for July's Art Walk (July 10th).
"I'm all about change. Me and Obama," Lombardo told me.
I was impressed by the number of people out for the monthly art walk, and the audience was very engaged with the work on the walls. The event had a decidedly different feel from gallery openings and art walks in San Diego.
I can't wait to see what Guy Lombardo does next month.
take it elsewhere boys and girls
